Finally after years of being told by my doctors I had OCD, anxiety disorder, and one brilliant doctor even thought I had an inorganic brain disorder(what?). I found out in 2007 that what I really have is Asperger's Syndrome. At first I was scared because I had never heard of this before. And when I found out it was a form of Autism I was even more scared. All I knew about Autism at that time was from movies. And those movies didn't paint a pretty picture of it. Now I have come to accept it and live with it. If you are a parent and suspect your child might have Asperger's Syndrome or any other type of disorder, don't be afraid to get help or talk to other parents or friends. I truly believe that early diagnosis is the best help you can give your child. Also if you are seeing a doctor and you don't think they are the right one for you or your child, don't be afraid to look for another one.
